Looking into abnormal load restrictions on our roads.
Met with North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and local businesses Ainscough Crane Hire, Hi-Line Transport, and the RHA last week.
The restrictions are confusing and cause unnecessary costs, emissions, and frustration for haulage, caravan, agricultural, and construction industries.
The road haulage industry is vital. Things do not get to the shops or businesses without it.
I will raise this issue with ministers. Thank you to the chamber for organising this chat.
