South Ribble constituency has a significant and ongoing problem with flooding. This is caused by: the high number of waterways running through the area, surface water flooding caused by drainage issues, and the landscape including developments.
Due to the complex nature of the causes of flooding, some solutions have been identified and implemented but many areas continue to suffer. Issues with solving these problems are further exacerbated by the number of agencies that are trying to manage the affected sites.
