It was lovely to be invited for a quick hop across the river to Cardinal Newman College to speak to their pupils about the importance of getting more women involved in politics.
I was invited in as part of the college’s celebration of Hope the Lego Suffragette’s tour of the UK and her arrival at the college. Hope was built by LEGO and our Parliament in 2018, commemorating the 100 year anniversary of women first gainingthe right to vote. It was fantastic to speak to the students about my experiences and answer all of their brilliant questions afterwards.
