At the Science at Technology Select Committee ( MPs ), I asked Professor Chris Whitty, Chief Medical Officer and Sir Patrick Vallance, Chief Scientific Advisor, about the new lockdown restrictions that we will vote on, Wednesday 4th November. As well as how our recent Tier 2 & 3 local restrictions have worked.
My question was - Is this going to work?
The Prof. thanked us for our efforts & highlighted our successes. Everyone in Lancashire has been fantastic in pulling together to keep the r-rate down and manage this virus. We would be in a very difficult place compared to where we are now without what you have all done.
