2022 Christmas Card Competition

After the success of last year's competition, in which we had some fantastic entries, I'm very excited to announce the start of my 2022 Christmas Card Competition.

Every year, I send a Christmas card to people and businesses up and down the country - including the Prime Minister - that features a design from some of our brilliantly creative primary school pupils here in South Ribble. I'm really pleased to announce that this year, to really encourage our entrants to get creative, the theme will simply be "Christmas". Instead of limiting designs to a certain theme, I really want to see how inventive the primary school pupils of South Ribble can be this year, so as long as their designs look Christmas-y, they're in for a chance of winning!

Last year's entries were absolutely cracking, and I'm expecting judging this years entries to be even tougher than it was in 2021. Last year's theme was "the environment", and you can see the winner pictured above to get an idea of just how good the entries were last year.

Entries for the competition will close on Thursday the 17th of November, with our winners being announced and sent off to the printers on Monday the 21st. The card will feature the 1st place winner's design on the front, with the runners up being featured on the back of the card. All the featured designs will have the names and ages of the artist behind them featured alongside them! As well as having their art sent around the country and to the Prime Minister, there'll also be prizes on offer for those featured on the card.

To enter, children should do their design on a plain piece of A4 and have it scanned in. Please send all designs digitally to my email address below, and make sure you include your postcode, name, and age.
